Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

We collect as little as we can. This page explains exactly what the site records, why, who helps us run it and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data, and the business responsible for this website, is:

Privacy questions and requests: contact@hubofluck.com.

2. The short version

  • You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the site.
  • Google Analytics only runs if you say yes. If you say no, it does not set cookies or measure you.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell personal data and we do not build advertising profiles.
  • Your answers in the safer-gambling self-check and the numbers you type into our calculators stay in your browser. We do not receive them.
  • We never store your IP address in our own records.

3. What we collect and why

a) Technical data handled by our hosting

Every web request reaches our host, Vercel, which processes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time in order to deliver the page, keep the service secure and prevent abuse. From your IP address the host derives an approximate location (country and region). We use that location, in the moment, to decide which market's listings to show you (UK, Canada or US) and which operators are licensed where you are. We do not keep your IP address or save your location against you.

Legal basis (UK / EU): legitimate interests in running a secure, working site that shows you lawful information for your location.

b) Affiliate click records

When you click an operator link (an address starting with /go/) we write one record to our hosting logs. It contains: the operator, the jurisdiction, the place on the page where the link sat, the page, the outcome (for example "sent" or "away" because the operator is not licensed where you are), and your country and region. It does not contain your IP address, name or any account detail. We use it to check that links work, to keep operators out of places where they are not licensed and to measure which content is useful.

Legal basis: legitimate interests. If you have accepted analytics, the same click is also sent to Google Analytics as an event (see below).

c) Analytics

  • Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent). We use Google Consent Mode. By default analytics storage is denied. If you choose "Allow analytics", Google Analytics sets cookies and records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived and how long you stayed. IP anonymisation is on, and advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are always denied. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. These give us aggregated page-view and page-speed numbers. They do not use cookies and do not follow you across sites. Legal basis: legitimate interests in understanding and improving performance.

d) Information stored in your browser

The site saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your analytics choice, and the market (UK, Canada or US) you last picked, so we do not ask again. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. See the cookie policy.

e) When you contact us

If you email us, we keep your message, your email address and our reply so we can answer you, deal with corrections or complaints and keep a record. Legal basis: legitimate interests (and, if you ask us something that leads to a contract, taking steps at your request).

f) What we do not collect

We do not collect sensitive data on purpose, run gambling accounts, take payments, or track you across other websites. Please do not send us health, financial or other sensitive details in a message.

4. Search, calculators and self-check

Site search runs in your browser against an index we publish. The odds, wagering and parlay calculators and the safer-gambling self-check run entirely in your browser, and what you type or choose is not transmitted to us or stored by us.

5. Who we share data with

We use a small number of providers who process data for us, under their own data-protection terms:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting, delivery, security, logs, web analytics and performance monitoring.
  • Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd: Google Analytics 4 (only after consent) and Google Search Console (aggregate search data about our own site, not about you).
  • Cloudflare, Inc.: domain name (DNS) service.
  • GitHub, Inc.: stores the site's code and content. No visitor data is kept there.
  • Professional advisers, authorities and buyers: lawyers, accountants and insurers under duties of confidence; regulators or law enforcement where the law requires; and a buyer or investor if the business is sold, who must keep to this policy.

Operators you click through to. When you follow a link to an operator, you leave our site. We pass a tracking identifier in the address so the operator or its affiliate network can tell the visit came from Hub of Luck. From that moment the operator (and its network) collects your data as its own controller, sets its own cookies and handles any account you open. Read its privacy policy. We do not receive your account or gambling activity from operators. We may be told in aggregate how many sign-ups and how much commission resulted.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. International transfers

Our providers operate in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer UK or EU personal data to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the provider's certification under the UK-US Data Bridge / EU-US Data Privacy Framework where it has one. Ask us for details.

7. How long we keep it

  • Hosting and click logs: kept by Vercel for its standard log-retention period for our plan. We do not export them for long-term storage.
  • Google Analytics data: kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, then deleted by Google.
  • Messages to us: kept until the matter is resolved, then deleted within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
  • Browser preferences: until you clear them (the analytics choice) or change them.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what data we hold about you and get a copy (access);
  • have it corrected, erased or restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time (use "Cookie settings" in the footer), without affecting what happened before;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you (we make none).

To use a right, email contact@hubofluck.com. We may need to confirm who you are, and we will reply within one month (UK / EU) or the period the law of your place sets. Because we do not keep your IP address or identify visitors, we may not be able to find data that cannot be linked to you.

United Kingdom and European Economic Area. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to your local data-protection authority.

Canada. We handle personal information under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, including Quebec's Law 25. You may ask for access or correction, withdraw consent, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial regulator. Our privacy contact is shown above.

United States. If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas or another state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using a right. You may use an authorised agent, and you may appeal a refusal by email.

9. Children

The site is for adults only (18+, or the higher legal gambling age where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is delivered over HTTPS, we store no accounts or passwords, and access to our hosting and code accounts is restricted. No online service is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

11. Changes

We will update this policy when what we do changes, and show the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will highlight it on this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.

12. Contact
