Games Global supplies slots, table games and jackpot games to online casinos. Many players know its games under the old Microgaming name: Mega Moolah, Immortal Romance and other titles that moved to Games Global in 2022. Most of its games come from a network of in-house and partner studios.

History

  • 2021. Games Global was incorporated in the Isle of Man in July 2021. Its SEC filing says this was "pursuant to a carve-out of the game development business of Fusion Holdings Limited". In November 2021 iGaming Business reported that Microgaming would sell its Quickfire distribution business to the new company, by then led by chief executive Walter Bugno, formerly of IGT.
  • 2022. SBC News reported that Games Global had completed its purchase of Microgaming's distribution business and online games portfolio. Microgaming kept its platform business.
  • 2024. In February it completed the purchase of the B2B assets of Digital Gaming Corporation from Super Group (iGB), which Games Global said gave it immediate entry to the US market. It also filed for a US stock market listing and postponed it in May.

The SEC filing names Fusion Holdings, not Microgaming, as the business it was carved out of, and the parts of it we read do not mention Microgaming. The Microgaming purchase is reported by trade press. We have not found a source that describes how Fusion Holdings and Microgaming are related, so we do not state a link.

What Games Global makes

Its 2024 SEC filing lists slots, table games, video poker, video bingo, progressive jackpots, game shows, crash games and live casino games. Stormcraft Studios, which made Immortal Romance II, is one of its studios.

Notable games

  • Mega Moolah. The name of one of Games Global's two progressive jackpot brands. Other games also carry the Mega Moolah jackpot, including Immortal Romance Mega Moolah. Games Global said Mega Moolah and WowPot paid out more than €155 million combined in 2023. (iGB advertising feature)
  • Wheel of Wishes. A WowPot jackpot game from Alchemy Gaming. Games Global said it paid a €38.4 million WowPot jackpot in December 2023, which it described as the largest jackpot prize ever awarded on an online slot.
  • Immortal Romance. First released about 12 years before its 2024 sequel. Its Wild Desire feature and its four main characters return in the sequel.
  • Immortal Romance II. Announced in March 2024 by Stormcraft Studios for release in late May 2024. Each of the four main characters (Amber, Troy, Michael and Sarah) has their own growing jackpot and bonus-spin mechanic. (iGB advertising feature)
  • Cash N Riches Megaways WowPot. Combines Megaways reels with the WowPot jackpot. Games Global launched it in January 2024 as part of a 15-game jackpot rollout with a UK operator.

Headline jackpots are funded by a small slice of every stake across the network. The chance of the top prize on any one spin is tiny, and that slice is part of the game's RTP, not extra to it.

RTP versions

Games Global's 2024 SEC filing says variants of a game can differ in their return-to-player (RTP) percentage, which lets its casino customers choose which variant to offer. So the same title can return different amounts at different casinos. Check the RTP in the game's information screen before you play. Our RTP and volatility guide explains why a 2-point difference matters.

Where Games Global's games appear

  • Great Britain. It holds a UKGC licence. See UK casinos.
  • Ontario. The 2024 SEC filing claimed a leading market position in Ontario, based on the gross gaming revenue (GGR) of its games as measured by a third-party data aggregator. See Ontario casinos.

These approvals were reported in 2024, so check the current lobby at your casino. For other jackpot suppliers, see Playtech and NetEnt. All studios are listed on our providers page.
