IGT makes slot machines, casino systems and online games, and in 2025 its corporate structure changed completely. The casino games business you know as IGT is now a private company owned by Apollo funds, combined with Everi. The lottery side went the other way: it stayed listed and now trades as Brightstar Lottery.

The 2025 split, in plain terms
Before July 2025, International Game Technology PLC owned two big businesses: lottery, and gaming and digital. On 1 July 2025:
- Funds managed by Apollo bought the gaming and digital business and Everi Holdings in an all-cash deal that Apollo valued at about US$6.3 billion.
- The two were combined into one privately held company that operates under the IGT name, with the Everi brand kept in some markets and product lines.
- The listed parent kept the lottery business and, in July 2025, changed its name to Brightstar Lottery PLC. Its own filings call it "a pure play global lottery company", trading on the NYSE as BRSL.
So when you see "IGT" on a slot today, it refers to the Apollo-owned games company. According to Brightstar's filing, it provides IGT with data centre hosting, payroll and benefits administration and other back-office services for a fee, generally for no more than two years.
What IGT makes
Apollo describes the combined IGT as a supplier of gaming machines, game content and systems, iGaming, sports betting, cash access, and loyalty tools. For players, the parts that matter are:
- Land-based slots and progressives. IGT promotes multi-level progressives such as Tiger and Dragon and Diamond Mania, according to its own 2024 and 2025 product releases.
- Video poker. IGT's Game King brand. In January 2025 IGT said it would show a version of Game King built for the UK's B1 land-based machine category at ICE Barcelona. See our video poker guide.
- Online casino content (IGT PlayDigital). IGT's iGaming library, which brings many of its land-based titles online.
Notable games
RTPs are not given here. IGT does not publish them on the pages we checked, and online casinos may run different versions.
- Cleopatra. Described at its 2015 European online relaunch as one of IGT's most popular games. It is one of the titles IGT named when its online content reached Rhode Island in 2024.
- MegaJackpots Cleopatra. The version launched online in Europe in 2015, with a pooled progressive jackpot. According to the launch coverage, every spin, including bonus spins, was eligible for the jackpot. See our progressive jackpot slots guide.
- MegaJackpots Siberian Storm. Launched alongside it, on a hexagonal five-reel layout with up to 720 ways to win and stacked wilds.
- Cats, Wolf Run, Fortune Coin and Cash Eruption. All four were named by IGT as part of the PlayDigital line-up live in US online casinos in 2024.
RTP versions
We found no IGT statement on how many RTP settings it supplies for each online game. Check the game's help screen at your casino, which shows the RTP for that version. Our RTP and volatility guide explains what the figure does and does not tell you.
Where IGT games appear
IGT said in March 2024 that its PlayDigital content was live in all seven US states with regulated online casinos. That includes the states we cover: New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan. In Great Britain, IGT UK Interactive Limited holds a UK Gambling Commission software licence, so IGT games can appear at UK-licensed casinos. For other markets, see the casino markets hub.
Other big slot makers with land-based roots include Light & Wonder and Playtech. The full list is on our providers hub.
