Online gambling in Ohio: what is legal

Ohio launched online and retail sports gaming on 1 January 2023, regulated by the Casino Control Commission, for players aged 21 and over. Online casino games and online poker are not legal. HB 298, which would legalise internet gaming and ban dual-currency sweepstakes, remains in committee as of September 2026. The Ohio Lottery does not sell tickets online, and a separate iLottery bill has not passed.
