Online gambling in Montana: what is legal
Montana does not license online casino games or poker, and sports betting runs only through the lottery's Sports Bet Montana, with wagers placed at authorised venues rather than statewide online. The Montana Lottery does not sell online itself, but couriers holding lottery sales agent licences may sell tickets to adults aged 18 and over. Online sweepstakes casinos have been banned since 1 October 2025 under SB 555.
