Online gambling in Maine: what is legal
Maine licenses online sports betting through its four Wabanaki Nations, live since 3 November 2023 for adults aged 21 and over. A law that took effect without the Governor's signature on 11 January 2026 lets the tribes offer online casino games and poker, but nothing has launched; the rules were in their third draft in October 2026, with no launch date set. Online sweepstakes casinos are banned under LD 2007, in force from 29 July 2026. The Maine Lottery sells tickets only through retailers.
