Online gambling in South Dakota: what is legal
South Dakota permits casino gaming and sports betting only in person, in Deadwood and at tribal casinos, for players aged 21 and over. Online casino games, online poker and mobile sports betting are not legal; a 2026 proposal to let voters decide on mobile betting was rejected by a House committee in March. The state lottery does not sell tickets online. Sweepstakes casinos are neither banned nor licensed.
