Online gambling in Washington: what is legal
Washington has the strictest online gambling law in the US: transmitting or receiving gambling information online is a class C felony under a 2006 law. Sports betting is legal only in person at tribal casinos, and online casino games and poker are illegal. The state lottery does not sell online. The Gambling Commission says casino-style games played with virtual currency are likely illegal gambling.
